William F. Dugan Funeral Director, Partner

Bill was raised in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School, the University of Nebraska and the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. In 1974, he purchased Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel and returned to Fremont. He has served on numerous boards in the funeral service profession and is a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Bill has served as board member and president of numerous civic organizations. Bill and his wife Jane have two sons, Bill C. and Patrick.

Bill C. is a native of Fremont and a proud graduate of Fremont High School.  He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and the Kansas City College of Mortuary Science.  Bill worked retail in Colorado for several years prior to Mortuary Science College.  He served his internship in Omaha and Fremont and became licensed as a Funeral Director in Nebraska in 2005, proudly serving Fremont and the surrounding areas.

Brittney Voss Funeral Director

Brittney is a 2010 graduate of Arlington High School. She attended Fort Scott Community College where she earned a degree in business. While at Fort Scott she competed in college rodeo in barrel racing, and breakaway roping. Brittney earned her degree in mortuary science in 2014, from Des Moines College of Mortuary Science. She is a member of the Arlington Community Church and resides in Arlington with her two dogs Dalli and Daisy.

Vern C. Gibson Funeral Director

Vern was born and raised in California. He worked with Pan American and Delta Airlines for 31 years. He moved to Fremont in 1983. Vern attended Mortuary Science School in Kansas City and became a licensed funeral director in 2000. He serves on several boards and is very active in Kiwanis Club and the Fremont Shrine Club. He is a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Vern and his wife Jane have a son and daughter, and four grandchildren.

Tom Vogt Advanced Planning Consultant

Tom grew up in Arlington, Nebraska, attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and Arlington Public Schools. He graduated with a Technical degree in agricultural business from University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture and received a Bachelor of Science degree in general agriculture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Tom brings a wealth of experience in the public relations and marketing fields through ConAgra and Snap-On Tools. He is an advanced planning consultant for Dugan Funeral Chapel, and works with families through aftercare services and monument sales. Tom and his wife Gina live in Arlington and have one son, Christian.

Brian Essen Partner

Brian was raised in Gretna and is a 1982 graduate of Midland Lutheran College. He has been active in numerous civic organizations. He has served as a board member and president of many charitable organizations in Fremont including the Fremont Area United Way, Habitat for Humanity and the Midland Lutheran College Alumni Board. He has served as the Public Address Announcer for Midland Lutheran College sporting events since the mid 1980s. Brian, his wife Lori and their children Eric and Emily are members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

 Jane is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with an education major.  Jane graduated from UNO with a Masters of Science in Community Counseling.  She did her internships at the YWCA in Omaha, while working with abused women and a men's batterers group.  Jane has studied with Dr. Alan Wolfelt at the Center for Loss and Transition in Ft. Collins taking several classes on grief, mourning, complicated mourning, delayed grief, and children's  and teen grief,.

Jane has taken classes from Dr. Harold Ivan Smith of Kansas City, a bereavement specialist.

 She is a member of ADEC-the Association of Death Education and Counseling.

She is a member of APPT-Association of Private Practice Therapists- of the Omaha area.

She is a member of CHADD-Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder
