Adolfs E. Dambro, 91, Fremont, Died at his home Sunday, July 26, 2009.

He was born December 23, 1917 in Latvia where he was raised, farmed and worked as a blacksmith. He immigrated to New York in 1949 and then went to Bakersfield, California where he worked in the orange groves. He moved to Beemer, Nebraska where he worked at a cattle ranch. In 1951 he moved to Fremont where he was employeed by Geo. A Hormel Co, he retired in 1983.

Adolfs enjoyed boating, camping, and his family.He married Aina Z. Vikmanis in Fremont October 17, 1953.Adolfs was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #200.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Sylvia Schmitz (husband Mitch) of Fremont. Granddaughters Lexi and Ally Kimball, Step Grandchildren Mathew and Kari Schmitz. Also survived by a daughter Ilga Dambro of Omaha, two sons, Guntars Dambro (wife Connie) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Indy Dambro (wife JoEllen) of Emporia, Kansas. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, July 30 at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Delvin Hutton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00. There has been a memorial established to Salem Lutheran Church.
