Aina Z. Dambro, 83
Fremont
Died at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha Tuesday morning surrounded by her Family. Aina Vikmanis immigrated to the United States in 1951 with three of her children. She came to Lincoln where she worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and then moved to Fremont where she met and married Adolfs Dambro on October 17, 1953. He died July 26, 2009. She was employed by Campbells Soup Company and then Pendleton Woolen Mills until her retirement in 1991.
Aina was a lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church and she loved her pets. She baked extensively and enjoyed the outdoors and her flowers. She gained a considerable knowledge of cultural affairs and English history.
She is survived by her daughter Sylvia Schmitz (husband Mitch) of Fremont and their children Lexi and Ally Kimball and Matthew and Kari Schmitz. Daughter Ilga Dambro of Omaha. Son Gunt Dambro (wife Connie) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and his children Amy, Zac, and Erin, grandchildrenSydnee, Shelby and Levi ; and son Indy Dambro (wife JoEllen) of Emporia, Kansas and his children Ryan and Megan.
Funeral Services will be Friday August 24, at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Delvin Hutton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. A memorial has been established to Salem Lutheran Church.
