Barbara L. Sherlock's Obituary
Barbara Leatrice "Lea" Sherlock entered Heaven's gates on September 3, 2013.
Lea was born on December 1, 1930 in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Lea graduated from Fremont High School and went on to receive her registered nursing degree from Creighton's St. Joseph School of Nursing. Her career spanned over 40 plus years at the Fremont Area Medical Center with her retirement in 1995 as the Director of Education.
Lea had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and over the years she was involved with the Liturgy Committee and served as an EMC. She served on several boards in the community, including the Salvation Army, the Dodge County Red Cross, and Parkview Development. She was involved with the local Blood Mobile.
Lea was an avid bridge player and later in life took up water color painting. Lea was an elegant, intelligent, loving and respected woman. She also enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her family.
Lea was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald M. Sherlock; grandson Shawn Finney, and her mother Barbara Bird Siebold.
Survived by: Daughters; Kimberlee (Kent) Custer of Fremont, Patricia (Jon) Finney of Sidney, NE, Kristine (Pat) Laverty of Omaha, Mary (Keith) Gonzales of Omaha and Beth (Rob) Custer of Fremont.
Grandchildren: Chad Jorgensen, Heather Finney, Donovan Farrens, Devin Farrens and Zoe Gonzales

Sister Jean Kruger of Papillion, NE; Sisters-in-law Jeanette (Shirley) Hughes and Josynne Sherlock of Omaha

Funeral Service: 9:00 AM Saturday September 7, 2013, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father Jim Keiter will be officiating.
