Berdene E. (Deanie) Hoover, 89

Died at Edgewood Vista Friday morning.

She was born in Nickerson, Ne August 11, 1922 and graduated from High School in Gallatin, Missouri and then attended Midland Lutheran College. After working several years for Reynolds General Insurance Agency in Fremont she went to Newfoundland for two years where she worked as a secretary to a colonel in the Air Force. After returning to Fremont fifty years ago Deanie worked as Secretary-Treasurer of Fremont Contract Carriers for twenty six years until her retirement in 1994.

Berdene Bruner married George Hoover in Wahoo, Nebraska in 1948. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two brothers, Byron Bruner of Long Beach, California and Wendell Bruner of Fremont. She was preceded by her mother, father and one brother, Robert.

Services will be Tuesday July 24, at 11:00 A.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Rev. Susan Sanders officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.. There has been a memorial established to Calvary Methodist Church. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
