Bernice C. Andersen, 97 Fremont Died at Merrick Manor Thursday, March 2, 2006. She was born July 5, 1908 in Ames, Nebraska and graduated from hooper High School in 1925. She Graduated from Midland Lutheran College in 1944 and became a teacher, teaching in rural schools in the sand hills. She was a fifth grade teacher at North Platte, a special education teacher at Norfolk, and was Principal of Polk High School. Bernice was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma teachers sorority, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Methodist Church Circle. Services will be Monday, March 6, at 2:00 P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Rev. Ron Croom officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 8:00 A.M. to the time of the service. There has been a memorial established to the Monroe Ministries at the Methodist Church. Condolences may be left at lattindugan.com. Burial will be in Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
