Bettie Lee Camp, age 83, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Bettie was born and raised in Fremont, Nebraska to Clara and Edward Herre. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1942. She married Daton Camp in Abilene, Texas, on August 7, 1943, shortly before his service in World War II. She often helped Daton at the Dixie Cream Donut Shop in Fremont and Sky Bowl Bowling Alley in Schuyler. Although she worked, she was best known for being a wonderful homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by: Her husband Daton, parents, Clara and Edward Herre, 2 sisters Francis and Ruth, and brother Leon Herre.

She is survived by daughters Gloria and husband John Weir and Shelley Meyer all of Fremont. Grandchildren Greg and wife Stephanie Weir of Alphretta, Georgia, Angela and husband Tom Pankratz of Rochester, Minnesota, John and wife Nicole Duft of Blaine, Minnesota, James Duft and friend Jessica Kellner of Lawrence, Kansas. 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 18, at Dugan Funeral Chapel. John Weir will be officiating.
Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
