Betty Jean Carlson, age 85, of Fremont, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Born June 10, 1924 in Beemer, Nebraska to Fred and Mildred Wie-Sel. She attended school in Bancroft, Nebraska. Betty Married Ralph Carlson on November 23, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They farmed near Rosalie, Nebraska until 1956 when they moved to Fremont. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Betty was active in services at the manor, greeting, and church council. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, cooking and baking for family and friends. She was always present with a helping hand.

Preceded in death by:
Husband Ralph, her parents Fred and Mildred Wie-Sel, sister Carol Wegner, brother Harold Wie-Sel, and sister Mary Toy.

Survived by:
Sisters: Alice (Wymore) Eggers and Joyce (Gary) Toelle, both of Omaha.
Many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 4:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday with family present from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Wednesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont
