Betty Johnson age 79 of Fremont, passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 at Fremont Area Medical Center. Betty was born June 23, 1928 in Fremont, Nebraska. She attended Fremont Senior High School and upon graduating attended Midland Lutheran College. She was the assistant to the Dodge County Assessor for 18 years, and was the Dodge County Assessor for 6 years before retiring. Betty was also very active with her grandchildren, going to most of their sporting events. Betty played bridge regularly, was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was a very active member of First Baptist Church, especially active in the daycare at the church.
