Beverly L. Wortman, age 81, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Nye Legacy Nursing Home in Fremont.

Beverly was born in Orchard, Nebraska, November 26, 1929, to Melvin and Bertha Dixson.She married Richard W. Wortman on September 7, 1946 in Orchard.They lived in Neligh, Nebraska, until moving to Omaha in 1964.Beverly loved animals, particularly her dogs.She loved watching her grandchildren excel in sports.She was a huge sports fan, enjoying football especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers.She always liked to camp, go boating, and traveling to Colorado and Lake McConaughy.Beverly also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and good cooking.

Sons Michael (Deborah) Wortman of Logan, Iowa; Phillip (Theresa) Wortman of Shenandoah, Iowa

Grandchildren: Vicki, Kelly, Krista; Terri, Brad, Stacey, Jason, Michael, Kelley, Christina; Koby, Kyra (12)

Visitation: Monday August 8, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 PM with family present from 6:00-8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Valley.Pastor Chip Borgstadt is officiating.

Interment:Westlawn Hillcrest in Omaha
