Burton (Nick) Johnson, 71 Fremont Died at his home Monday morning March 6. He was born September 18, 1934 in Wahoo and was raised there graduating from Wahoo High School in 1952. He graduated from the University of Nebraska school of Engineering in 1957 and returned to Wahoo where he joined his father and brother in law in the engineering firm of Price-Johnson-Erickson which became JEO Consulting Group. In 1986 Nick moved to the Fremont area and recently retired as CEO of JEO Consulting Group. Nick Johnson married Jane Langenberg August 19, 1956 at Walt Hill, Nebraska. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Delta Upsilon Fraternity, Past Master of Wahoo Lodge #59 A.F. & A.M., and was an active pilot. Nick was past president of the Nebraska Section of the American Waterworks Association and that associations George Fuller award winner. He served as a past officer of the American Consulting Engineers Council, Nebraska Chapter, and as Past President of the Nebraska Water Pollution Contractors Association. He was a trustee of the Omaha Home for Boys and was active in Choir and Music Activities throughout the community. Survived by: Wife: Jane 1 daughter; Meg Johnson (husband Ron Svehla) of Lincoln 2 sons; Eric W. Johnson (wife Deborah) of Fremont Christopher Johnson (wife Catherine) of Omaha 1 sister; Barbara Davis of Chesterfield, Missouri 1 brother; Dr. Gordon Johnson of Omaha 6 grandchildren Services will be Friday March 10, at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church. An evening service will be Thursday March 9, at 7:00 P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorials have been established to the First United Methodist Church, the Omaha Home for Boys, and the Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice.
