Carol Ruth Campbell, age 91, of Fremont, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Edgewood Vista.

Carol was born to Howard and Nettie Cole, on October 31, 1917, on a farm West of Taylor, Nebraska.

She attended a small county school through the 8th grade and finished High School and normal training in Taylor, Nebraska.

She married Arnold Edward Campbell on January 8, 1938.They lived for a short time in Wyoming, and then returned to the farm in Taylor.Later they moved to Fremont for a number of years.Carol was a stay at home mom raising 7 children.When Arnold retired they moved to Mesa, Arizona where they lived until August of 2005 when they returned to Fremont to be with family.Carol loved playing the organ and the piano and enjoyed bowling as well.

She is preceded in death by an infant son Gary Edward, her parents, brother Paul and sister Hilma.Son-in-law Eugene Depue and granddaughter Kellie Jo Depue Steffans.

Survived by her husband Arnold and six children.Two daughters Phyllis Depue of Fremont, Connie (Terry) Layman of Phoenix, Arizona.

Four sons; Dean (Sandi) Campbell and Bruce (Jennifer) Campbell, both ofArizona.Dennis (Nelda) Campbell and David (Deb) Campbell, both of Fremont.

24 Grandchildren.50 Great-Grandchildren.14 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Dugan Funeral Chapel.
