Carrol Butterfield, 76, of Fremont, passed away Monday August 19, 2013 at Fremont Area Medical Center.
Carrol was born in Holt County July 28, 1937, to Irvin and Leola (Brokaw) Butterfield. He attended rural county school after which he worked various jobs picking apples, farming, construction, and working for the local telephone company. He married Mary Gilman on May 14, 1967 in Fremont. They permanently moved to Fremont that October where he worked as a mechanic. Carrol kept himself busy by working numerous jobs but never fully retired. He liked welding, working on small motors, gardening, and he enjoyed going to car shows. He loved spending his extra time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Leola and sister Audrey

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2013 at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Pastor Sheryl Amund officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com
