Charles D. McKeighan Jr., 50, of Fremont died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Creighton-Alegent HealthMedical Center in Omaha.
He was born Feb. 26, 1963, in Omaha and was raised in Yutan. He graduated from Yutan High School in 1981. He did auto body repair and attended North Central University (Bible college) in Minneapolis. He did apartment maintenance in Omaha for many years. For the last six years, he has worked as an engineer for Omaha Public Schools.
Hewas a member of the Full Life Church, where he was a deacon, played on the worship team and helped with children's church. He also was secretary of the Stardusters Car Club in Mead and a member of Service Employees Local 226.
Hemarried Tammy Real on April 14, 1990, in Fremont.
Survivors include: his wife, Tammy; two sons, Michael Real-McKeighan (and, wife Rachel) and Zachary McKeighan,all of Fremont; a grandson, Matthew Real; his parents, Charles and Helen McKeighan of LaVista;a brother, Steve McKeighan of Manhattan, Kan., and a sister, Michelle Perez of Omaha; and nieces and nephews.
The funeralwill be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Full Life Church in Fremont with the Rev. Mike Washburn officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.
