Cheryl Ann Caughorn, 61, died and went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2019 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, Nebraska.

Cheryl was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii to parents Frank and Louise Caughorn on November 15, 1957. She graduated from Leilehua high school and University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington with a bachelor's in education.

Outside of family, her biggest passion was teaching. Cheryl was a teacher in Tacoma for a few years before returning to Hawaii to raise her son closer to family. In Hawaii, she taught for over twenty years. Although she taught preschool all the way up to eighth grade, preschool was her favorite.

She loved reading, writing, cooking, eating, playing Tetris and Dr Mario, and watching Patrick Swayze in her favorite movie Dirty Dancing. Cheryl loved to laugh and never lost her sense of humor.

In 2017 Cheryl moved to Nebraska to be near her son and his growing family.

Cheryl is survived by her son Christopher (Sarah) Caughorn, granddaughters Selah Caughorn and Mikaiah Caughorn, and grandson Josiah Caughorn, all of Fremont, Nebraska. She is also survived by brother James Caughorn, sister Joyce Caughorn, nephew Jonah (Ashley) Caughorn and three great nieces and nephews, all of Web City, MIssouri.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Louise Caughorn, and her brother Larry Caughorn.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Dunklau Gardens, at 10AM.
