Clarice Georgia Barnes, age 89, of Fremont passed away November 11, 2014 in Fremont at Dunklau Gardens.


Clarice Georgia (Cunningham) Barnes was born on September 15, 1925 in Gillette, Wyoming.She moved to Nebraska in late 1930 with her mother Georgia Mae and Georgia's husband John Ewing Hill.They settled in Oakland, Nebraska where Clarice then attended high school.The Hills the moved to Fremont, Nebraska in 1955.Clarice joined them in Fremont in 1961.Clarice was a very hard worker all her life.She worked many secretarial jobs, served as a personal director, and a business owner.Her last place of employment was Oriental Trading Company in Fremont.


After retirement she worked as a volunteer, the most recent being Care Corps in Fremont.She enjoyed many friends over the years she had met through working and volunteering.


Clarice is survived by two very close friends Sharon Hinds and LouAnn Leland, both of Fremont.

Niece Lori Thibeault of Norwich, CT, and her children: Kiley (Cole) Worly, and their sons Keegan, Reece, and Blayne all of Tekamah, NE; Megan Johnson and her children Kender, Maichen, and Imani all of Blair, NE; Colby Rohde of Denver, CO;


Niece Jodi (Nick) Pinyo and daughter Kristin all of Camarillo, CA;


Nephew Sean (Sarah) Higgins and their children Jordan and Brooke all of Brainard, MN.

Memorial Services will take place at 1:30 PM on Monday, November 17, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.Father Benjamin Boyd will be officiating.
