Deloris I. Gallatin, 86 Fremont Died Friday January 19, at A.J. Merrick Manor. Deloris was born May 2, 1920 at Numa, Iowa to Clyde and Mina Ellis. She was the fifth of their seven children. Her childhood was spent in Trenton, Missouri where she married Vernon Gallatin on October 3, 1937. In 1946 she moved to Fremont where she began her career as a seamstress. She worked at Mode O'Day, Pendleton Woolen Mills and Gail's Fashions doing alterations. Most will remember her as a self-employed seamstress who could make anything for anyone ranging from her beautiful wedding gowns and formals to dance costumes and men's, women's and children's clothing. She will also be remembered for her great love for her family. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, and crafting. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Fremont, and then became a member at First Congregational, UCC in Fremont. Survived by: 3 daughters; Marilyn Homburg of Fremont Martha Romero (husband Dan) of North Bend Vanessa Kallio (husband Bob) of Columbus, Nebraska 2 sons; Mike Gallatin (wife Sandy) of North Bend Kevin Gallatin of Rocky Ford, Colorado 2 sisters; Margaret Tapscott, Shirley Greiner and 1 brother; Paul Ellis all of Trenton, Missouri 14 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and an infant daughter, Janet Louise. Services will be Tuesday January 23, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church, UCC. Rev. Terri Akkermen officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
