Fremont

DeLoris died at Nye Legacy Saturday June 28. She was born April 15, 1920 at Leigh, Nebraska and was raised there graduating from Leigh High School in 1938. She lived in Fremont and Omaha prior to moving to California where she lived before returning to Fremont in 1982. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.

DeLoris Bridges married Clifford McGee in Little Rock, Arkansas July 5, 1941. He passed away April 29, 1988.

She is survived by two daughters, Deanna Gerhard (husband Ernest) of Omaha and Carol Suycott (husband James) of Peoria, Arizona, one son Bill McGee (special friend Julie Eggert) of Omaha. Eight Grandchildren, Chris Clinchard, Jennifer Franco, Susan Godzwa, Kurt Gerhard, Scott McGee, Kimberly Halmekangas, Sheryl Price, Jenna Eggert and fourteen great grandchildren. Brothers-in-Laws and Sister-in-Laws, Bernard and Donnette McGee, Jeanette McGee, Richard McGee, John and Marilyn Mitchell, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Services will be Thursday, July 3 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Episcopal Church. Rev. Dr. Kurt Gerhard officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. A memorial has been established to the Fremont Library for the purchase of children's books.
