Doris A. (Dorrie) Dugan, 89 Fremont Died at Fremont Area Medical Center Wednesday Morning. Dorrie was born February 6, 1918 in Lincoln where she was raised and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1935. She attended the University of Nebraska and married William E. Dugan December 27, 1939 in Lincoln. He died November 13, 1969. She lived in Lincoln while he served in WWII and moved to St. Louis, Missouri, Sterling, Colorado, and Sidney, Nebraska before moving to Fremont in 1952 when they established Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home. She was employeed by Fremont State Company. In 1966 Dorrie and Bill moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where they established the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. After her husbands death she chaperoned special tours for the Dorothy Bronson Singers through Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. She returned to Fremont in 1974. She was a member of St. Jame's Episcopal Church where she was involved in Youth Group, Episcopal Church Women, and served on the Diocesan Board. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, Beta Sigma Phi, Past President of Chapter AJ of PEO and served as Girls State Chairman for 10 years. She was Chairman of the Fremont Travel Series for 27 years, a Life Member of the Dodge County Historical Society, Dodge County Arthritis Chairman, was National Volunteer of the Year of the National Arthritis Foundation and a Life Member of the Nebraska Arthritis Society. Dorrie was past chairman of Keep Fremont Beautiful and the Dodge County March of Dimes. She was also Past President of the Joslyn Guild and a member of Altrusa. Dorrie was a 50 year member of Arbor Vita Chapter Order of Eastern Star and served for 36 years as Guardian of Jobs Daughters as well as a Deputy in Nebraska. Survived by: One Son-William F Dugan (wife Jane) of Fremont One Sister-Charlotte Longman (husband Kenneth) of Lincoln Two Grandsons-William C. Dugan (wife Natalie) of Fremont and Patrick T. Dugan of San Francisco, California Services will be Saturday November 10, at 10:00 A.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Rev. Paul Motl and Rev. William Lewis officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00.
