Doris Mae Lauritsen, age 78, of Arlington, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, at Nye Legacy Nursing Home in Fremont.

Doris was born in Arlington, April 15, 1933, to Carl and Frieda (Scheer) Lottman.She was a member of the St. Paul's Women's Missionary League, Home Harmony Club, and Coffee Klatch.Doris especially loved spending time with her family.She loved gardening, flowers and quilting and had created a quilt for each grandchild.She worked closely with Leonard on the farm in addition to raising their family.

She was born and raised in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1951.She met Leonard Lauritsen in Kennard; they were married on June 21, 1952.She and Leonard were married for 59 ½ years.

Memorials have been established to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Arlington Education Fund.

Visitation:A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.The family will be present from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 Friday, December 9, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington.Pastor Rick Kanoy will be officiating.
