Dorothy Fosbinder Dyas, age 94, of Fremont, died at Nye Legacy Sunday night.

Dorothy was born in Uehling, Nebraska September 23, 1917. She graduated from Uehling High School and then worked for the telephone company in Oakland. Dorothy Miller married Jack Fosbinder November 4, 1941 in Tacoma, Washington. Dorothy lived in Sioux City, Iowa and then Oakland, Nebraska before moving to Fremont in 1954 where she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone until her retirement in 1965. She was involved in designing and creating stained glass art for many years. Dorothy married Keith Dyas in 1977, he died in 1995.

She was a founding member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Elkhorn, a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the RQ Club of Oakland.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Mary Spargo (husband Ron) of Apache Junction, Arizona; four sons, David Fosbinder (wife Kay) and Steve Fosbinder (wife Janet) both of Fremont, Jim Fosbinder of Denver, and Pat Fosbinder (wife Diane) of Gretna. One sister, Merly Newkirk of Kansas City, Kansas and one brother Robert Miller of Lyons; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will beFriday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Elkhorn. Rev. Mark Selvey officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established to St. Augustine Episcopal Church. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
