Dwain Henry Muller, age 84, was born November 28, 1924 to Nicholas and Anna (Renner) Muller on their farm south of Howells, Nebraska. He graduated from Howells High School in 1941 and following graduation, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After leaving the Armed Forces in 1946, he operated a music store in Schuyler, Nebraska, and played with several bands in the area. He married Adeline Mitteis in 1950 in Schuyler. Following his marriage, he owned and operated a dairy farm and later built a milk-bottling plant south of Howells. Upon retiring from the farm in 1985, he began his second career when he became a full-time band leader of the "Dwain Muller Orchestra" traveling around the country until 2005. For the past 14 years, he had resided in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells, Nebraska, serving as an elder, trustee, and member of the building committee for the present church. He was a member of the Howells American Legion and "The Last Man's Club" of Howells. He is preceded in death by his wife Adeline, in 1984, and son, Terry Muller, in 1991. He is survived by a daughter, Linda (Ron) Kreikemeier of West Point; son Perry Muller and fianc Mandy Morgan of Fremont; Eight grandchildren: Kurt (Kristin) Kreikemeier of Lincoln; Greg Kreikemeier of Wisner; Eric Kreikemeier of Pender; Shawn Kreikemeier of West Point; Amanda Muller of Lincoln; Nickolas (Nikki) Muller of Wichita, KS; Michael and Morgan Muller of Fremont; two great-grandchildren Owen and Elise Kreikemeier of Lincoln; and Pat Dirks, his beloved soul mate and her family of Omaha.
