Enlowe "Lefty" Allen Hevner, Jr, age 79, died June 15, 2017, with his children by his side.

Enlowe was born and raised in Fremont, Nebraska, and graduated Cum Laude from Fremont High School in 1956.He served as a class officer and led the Tigers to the conference basketball championship his senior year.

Enlowe attended Baylor University on a baseball scholarship and completed his education by earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he pitched for the Cornhusker baseball team.Enlowe was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Continuing his lifelong passion for sports, Enlowe went on to play baseball with the Fremont Nighthawks, Fremont Merchants and the Oakland Owls.

Enlowe was Vice President of the family owned Hevner Serum Company in Fremont.In 1968, he moved his family to Omaha and began his career as a stock broker.

Enlowe is preceded in death by his parents Enlowe Allen Hevner, Sr. and Hazel Stark Hevner.

Enlowe is survived by his daughter Sherry Kay (Brent) Hevner-Rygh of Simi Valley, California; his son Michael Enlowe (Melissa) Hevner, and grandchildren Alexandra and Jack of Evanston, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM MondayJune 19, 2017, at Memorial Cemetery.Pastor Michael McGregor will be officiating.
