Ethel Halley, 87, formerly of Omaha and Arlington passed away at Arbor Manor on January 19, 2012.
Ethel Grace Halley was born on July 22, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa, the oldest child of John Taylor Goodell and Rena Marie Porter. She grew up in Des Moines, Iowa where she met William Earl Halley who she married May 2, 1942 at Bethany, Missouri. The couple moved to Omaha in the 1940's where they raised their eight children. She was retired from the Conagra Foods Corporation and enjoyed bowling, traveling, and her family. Mrs Halley is survived by two daughters: Carol Marie Smith (husband James) of Liberty Hills, Texas and Jean Ellen Dailey (husband Michael) of Cedar Park, Texas; three sons: William Earl Halley, Jr. (wife Flora) of Victorville, California, Stephen Arthur Halley (wife Tina) of Arlington, Nebraska and Kevin Mark Halley (wife Rosie) of Wenatchee, Washington. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grand children and two great-great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William E. Halley in 1987, one brother John Richard Goodell, and three sons; David Russell Halley, John Thomas Halley and Timothy Paul Halley.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:30AM, at Fremont Church of the Nazarene with the Reverend Tom Shaw officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with family present from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.
