Frances M. Best passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Frances was born on September 13, 1919 in Fremont to Lou and Elsie Weidner. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1937. Frances married Floyd Best in Fremont on July 11, 1942. Frances did alterations for Gail's Fashions in downtown Fremont for many years, and when the store closed, she began doing alterations from her home. She loved to sew for herself, for family, and others.Frances truly enjoyed all the people she met over the years while doing something she loved.

Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: a son, Lou Best and daughter, Denise (Gary) Bolton all of Fremont; granddaughter, Lindsey (Chris) Mannel of Elkhorn; great- grandchildren Evan, Emerson and Mackenzie Mannel;grandson-in-law Brad Reeder and great- grandson Micah Reeder of Lima, Ohio;sister, Betty Christensen of Fremont and sister-in-law Beverly Snyder of North Bend.

Preceding her in death were her spouse; granddaughter Marnie (Best) Reeder; daughter-in-law, Nancy (Jones) Best; sisters Bonnie Weiche, Elsie Christensen, and brother Louis Weidner.

Memorials have been established to the Fremont Public Schools Foundation and First United Methodist Church in Fremont.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont.There will be no visitation.Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
