Greg Kucera, age 55, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.

Greg was born in Fremont on May 16, 1960, to Shirley (Hensley) and Ray Kucera Sr. He attended Bishop Neumann High School and graduated in 1978. After graduating he worked for a farmer before starting his own farming business in 1982 which continued to this day. Greg was also a seed dealer for Syngenta from 2003 until the present. Greg met Deb Lundstrom on New Year's Eve in 1981. They were married on November 18, 1983, in St. Pat's Catholic Church in Fremont.

Greg was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Neumann Booster Club, he was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church as well as served on the church council, he always helped with the 4H tractor driving. Greg loved going to his children's events and was their loudest supporter. He became so involved with their activities that he coached their youth football and basketball teams. He enjoyed helping and participating in tractor pulls, he never missed watching a Nebraska football or basketball game and enjoyed Creighton basketball as well.

Preceded in death by his parents Shirley and Ray Kucera Sr, father-in-law Roger Lundstrom, and grandson Bryson Kucera.

Survived by: Wife Deb; Sons Josh and fianc Melissa, Casey (Becca) Kucera, Spenser Kucera; Brothers Brian (Tracy) Kucera, Dennis (Carol) Kucera, Chuck (Celina) Kucera, Tommy Kucera, Ray (Julie) Kucera Jr.; Sisters; Sister Peggy Kucera, Annette (Kelly) Scarlett, Beth Mytty,
Mother-in-law Shirley Lundstrom; Sister-in-law Melanie Lundstrom and friend Dan Hortan; Cousin and best friend Rick and Lisa Hensley; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
