Died at Fremont Area Medical Center Thursday January 10. She was born April 7, 1920 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and was raised there graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School. She has been employed as an administrative assistant throughout her life, including with the Jewish Community Center of Omaha, the Council Bluffs School System, a Douglas County Juvenile Court Judge and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She married Arthur Hancock in Omaha. Helen moved to Fremont in 1976 and worked for the Midland Athletic Department until her retirement in 1985.
Helen Linquist married Sylvester D. (Bob) Epp in Omaha February 23, 1974.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Order of the Nile.
Survived by her husband Bob, three sons William Hancock (wife Judy) of Council Bluffs, Robert Hancock of Omaha, and Thomas Hancock (wife Susan) of Lincoln; Two stepdaughters, Candy Moyer (husband Robert) of Lincoln and Megan Wilson (husband Louie) of Omaha; one stepson Kim Epp of Lincoln. She has one brother Robert Linquist of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Earl Underwood officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00.
