Henry W. (Bud) Hendriksen, 88 Died Tuesday night at Arbor Manor. He was bom to Jensine Petrea Jensen and Henry Hendriksen on August 26, 1917 in Fremont. He attended Fremont elementary and secondary schools. He attended Midland Lutheran College and then joined Fremont State Company as a bookkeeper and office manager. In March of 1939, Bud married Lorene M. Loseke in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She died July 8,1979. He served in the United States Navy in 1945 and 1946. In October of 1946 Bud joined the First National Bank and Trust Company where he retired as president and chairman of the board in 1988. Bud was a member of Salem Lutheran church and served on the church council for 36 years. He was treasurer of the Central Lutheran Theological Seminary from 1949-1967 and was on the Budget and Finance Committee of the Nebraska Synod Lutheran Church of America. Bud was a member of Rotary for 46 years and was a past president. He was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and was awarded the Cadwallader Award in 1988. He was a member of the Civil Service commission for 40 years and served as chairman. He was a member of the Midland Lutheran College Board of Trustees and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Midland in 1987. He was a 30-year member of the Y.M.C.A. and a 33-year member and past president of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. He was also a 25-year member of Scottish Rite Masons. In Omaha he was on the Board of lmmanuel Hospital for nine years and was chairman for two years. He was a past-president of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Area Community Foundation, and the United Way of Fremont. He served on the Keep Fremont Beautiful Committee, was treasurer of the Dodge County Heart Fund and served on the Fremont Area Medical Center Foundation. He was Merit Badge councilor of the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Rod and Gun Club and Fremont Golf Club. In 1990 Bud became chairman of the Bethphage Mission Board (now Mosaic). He was also a volunteer fireman. He married Marjorie E. Nelsen December 26, 1980. She died September 20, 2005. Survived by: 1 son: Dr. Richard L. Hendriksen (wife Paula) of Fremont 1 daughter Judy Ann Brown (husband David) of Teaneck, NJ 4 grandchildren: Shelley Homa (husband Michael) of Omaha, NE, Mark Hendriksen (wife Loretta) of Greeley, CO, Jason Brown of Teaneck, NJ, and Scott Brown of Orlando, FL. 4 great-grandchildren: Patrick Homa, Drew Homa, Blane Hendriksen, and Bryce H.W. Lane Hendriksen 1 sister: Elaine Baldwin (husband Bill) of Elkhart, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorene and son Robert. Services will be Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church. Visitation from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel.
