Imogene D. Bridges, 76, of Fremont died at her home Tuesday evening. She was born in Stuart, Nebraska March 21, 1935 and was raised there graduating from Inman High School in 1952. Imogene attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, in 1956 with degrees in English and Music. She taught High School in Omaha and became coordinator of music for the Omaha Public Schools. On June 30, 1956 Imogene Davis married James Bridges, he passed away in 1997. She moved to Fremont in July of 1960 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the church choir, and chapter GH of PEO. Imogene was active in tennis league, was an avid bridge player, singer, and pianist.

She is survived by one daughter Jana West (husband Wade) of Sedona, Arizona; one son J.D. Bridges of Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter Jade West and brother in law Ed Bridges of Moab, Utah.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church. with Rev. Michael McGregor officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established to the PEO Scholarship Fund.
