Irene W. Thor, age 88, passed away Sunday, Aril 21, 2013, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Irene was born January 31, 1925, to Emil and Antonie Raabe in Stanton, Nebraska.She attended Stanton High School and graduated in 1943.She married Svend Erik Thor in Stanton on May 24, 1947.Irene taught school in Stanton until she moved to Fremont in 1951.While in Fremont,she worked at Campbell Soup and Canteen Services until her retirement in 1962.

Irene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.She was an avid reader, enjoyed needlework, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to their events and activities.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Coe will be officiating.
