James "Jim" Brian Charles, age 52 of Fremont passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Jim was born on June 3, 1961 to John (Bill) and Nancy (Thompson) Charles. Jim attended and graduated from Westside High School in 1978. After high school Jim enlisted in the Army Reserves for a time while working at an auto parts store. He later worked as a Heavy Machine Operator for the Washington County Roads Department. Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, cars, motorcycles, and martial arts. He belonged to the Issac Walton League in Fremont.

He is preceded in death by his mother Nancy (Thompson) Charles.

He is survived by his father John (Bill) Charles of Fremont; Son Jared Charles of Blair; Stepson Joshua Putnum of Blair; Stepdaughter Natosha Hefling of Blair; Brothers John (Melodie) Charles of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Robert (Cindy) Charles of LaVista; Nephew Will Charles of Albuquerque New Mexico; former spouse Michelle Charles of Blair; and Special friends Tina Medinger and Phyllis Barton
