James Alvin Pomrenke passed away on May 26,2022 after a short illness with his best friend Mark Miller by his side.  Jim loved the outdoors, his plants and his lawn, which everyone that visits his home can admire.  He was very proud and talented when it came to his landscape. Jim also loved to work out at the YMCA.  He grew up in Ashton, Iowa and graduated from Saint Joseph High School in 1966. Shortly after high school, Jim served his country as a Marine.  While in the Marines, he was stationed in Japan and there he met his partner, Bob Dionne.  They spent 46 years together until Bob's death on December 25, 2017. After his honorable discharge, Jim attended Wayne State and obtained a business degree majoring in accounting.  In February of 1975 he became a Certified Public Accountant. Through the years Jim worked in Omaha for several different businesses until the late 80's when he accepted a position with Fremont Beef which he later retired from.

Jim is preceded in death by his partner, Robert Dionne.

He is survived by his best friend, Mark Miller and many friends and family.
