Jan Spencer passed away on the morning of March 21, 2022 at Dunklau Gardens Nursing Home in Fremont, NE.

Born in Wichita, KS, Spencer grew up in Fort Calhoun, NE, where she graduated from Fort Calhoun High School. After graduating in 1969, she moved to Omaha, NE., where she worked as a keypunch operator at First National Bank.

She met Steve Spencer in 1978, and the couple moved to Loup City, NE to be closer to her parents. She worked at G&G Manufacturing before starting at Rose Lane Nursing Home, where she worked until she retired in 2020.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Merton and Teresa Dawson.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; brother, Tom Dawson; children, Dawn (Rick) Grant, Suzette Shepherd, Tara (Mark Evans) Spencer, James (Becky) Spencer, and Mary Spencer. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont, Nebraska from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
