Jess F. Williams, age 83, of Fremont passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009, at University Medical Center.
Jess was born in Fremont on August 10, 1926 to Chester and Ida (Hurner) Williams. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1946 and worked at the Fremont Department of Utilities and Rise Conoco. He then joined the Air Force and served in the Korean War. After his discharge from the Air Force in 1952, he returned to work at the Department of Utilities for 44 years until he retired as a Production Superintendent in 1991. He married Jean L. Hughes on September 24, 1957. Jean passed away May 24, 1997. He married Mina on March 5, 1998. He was a member of the Eagles F.O.E. 200, and St. James Episcopal Church.
Preceded in death by his wife Jean, son Alex, and sister Laura Mae Rosenbach
Survived by wife Mina; son Allan (JoAnn) Williams of Fremont; daughter Alice (DeWayne) Allison of Hastings; 2 step-children, Sharon (James) Andersen, Gary (Patty) Payne; 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
