Jo Ann Daniel, age 82, Fremont, Nebraska, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Jo was born September 10, 1926 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Roy and Rachel Traum. She graduated from Fairbury High School in 1944 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1948. She taught first grade in Beatrice, served as a fraternity house-mother at UNL and worked in the Nebraska Unicameral Legislative Accounting Office until her retirement. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont, PEO and the Delta Gamma Sorority at UNL. Survivors include son, Scott (Kathy) Daniel of Omaha; daughter, Sue (Dan) Anderson of Lincoln; daughter, Amy Fedde of Fremont; grandchildren, Erin (Andy) Hamilton of Friend, Nebraska, Gina (Joe) Kuchta of Lincoln, Tony Daniel of Omaha, Reed Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri, Blake (Emmy) Anderson of Austin, Texas, Kelly Fedde of Fremont, Morgan Fedde of Omaha, DJ Fedde of Omaha; nephew Branson (Janelle) Bradley of Shawnee, Kansas; niece, Rachel (Scott) Juhl and her 2 children of Lincoln; and her 7 great- grandchildren.
