Joan F. Mitten age 87, of Fremont, entered into eternal rest, Friday, November 17, 2017, at Dunklau Gardens.
Joan was born in Omaha on October 3, 1930 to John and Isabel Fike.She graduated from Central High School in Omaha. She then attended Monticello College for 2 years and graduated from The University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Joan married David Mitten on March 29, 1952. He preceded her in death in 2015.
She is survived by her two daughters Dianne Dyson of Fremont and Mary McFarlin of Omaha, four grandchildren David (Jen) Dyson of Fulton, Missouri, Mary (Jason) Ottis of Kansas City, Missouri, Megan McFarlin (Gavin Horn) of Omaha and Matthew McFarlin of Denver. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; sister Micki Knight of Omaha and brother Charles (Jody) Fike of Omaha.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
