John J. "Tony" Lameo died Friday, March 17 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was born August 13, 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Went to school and raised in Scranton. He moved to Omaha in the late 1960's. He owned and operated his own truck/trailer business. He worked for the Metz Baking Company until his retirement in 1997. Move to Fremont and drove school bus for Fremont Public Schools Transportation Department until his death. Tony was a gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining. Survived by 2 daughters; Merralee Lameo of Atlanta, Georgia, Christine Hagen of Waldorf, Maryland. 3 sons: Scott (wife Trish) Lameo of Easton, Pennsylvania, Rock Lameo of Maryland, Guy Lameo of Tampa, Florida. Brother Paul (wife Carole) Lameo of Clark Summit, Pennsylvania. Sister Josephine Samsell of Moosic, Pennsylvania. 7 grandchildren.
