Jon Frederic Bute, 58, of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away on September 5, 2008. He was born August 23, 1950 in Lincoln, Nebraska and grew up in the Fremont, Lincoln, and Wilber communities. He moved to the Beatrice State Developmental Center in 1976 at the age of 26, where he has lived and worked since.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents David and Carol Bute of Fremont and his Grandmothers Anna Jelinek of Wilber and Cecil Bute of Lincoln who played important roles in his life. Survivors include his brother Joel Bute, sister-in-law Dianne Jelden, and niece Anna Bute of Omaha, Nebraska.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 13 at 11:00am at the Chapel of All Faiths on the Beatrice State Developmental Center campus in Beatrice, Nebraska (3000 Lincoln Boulevard). Chaplain Larry Ramsey will officiate. No visitation is scheduled. The body was donated to the Nebraska Anatomical Board at the wish of his father.
