Karen K. Connell of Fremont, age 75, passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

Karen was born July 13, 1939 in Jeffers, Minnesota, to Clifford and Avis (Murphy) Corbin.She graduated from Jeffers High School and attended Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.She moved to Luverne, Minnesota, for her first teaching assignment where she met and married Tom Connell on July 13, 1963.They lived together in Luverne until moving to West Point, Nebraska, in 1973.In October of 2010, they moved to Fremont, Nebraska, to be near family and Tom's job at Gene Steffy's. For 10 years, Karen was the superintendent of fine arts exhibits for the Cuming County Fair.She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing bridge, and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Allan and Larry.

She is survived by her beloved husband Tom

Memorials have been established to Karen's family.

Dugan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements
