Kenneth A. Scheer, 54
Fremont
Died at his home Friday July 18, 2014. He was born in Fremont February 13, 1960 and was raised in Fremont. He attended Fremont High School, where he participated in athletics, graduating in 1978. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is a past employee of 3M manufacturing in Valley and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an avid sports and Nebraska fan. He also enjoyed playing baseball, fishing at the state lakes, and riding his motorcycle.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father Loren Scheer, Maternal grandparents, John Hansen, Mary Hansen, Paternal Grandparents, Alfred Scheer, Alice Scheer, step father Ernest Schroeder, uncles Ted Walkenhorst and Duke Scheer, aunt Corrine Scheer, and his beloved dog Rascals.
Kenneth is survived by a daughter Kendra Pixley (husband Brett) of Elkhorn, son Matthew Scheer of Fremont, Mother Betty Schroeder of Fremont a brother Kevin Scheer of Fremont, uncle Bob Hansen of Hooper, aunts Pat Walkenhorst of Arlington, Rose Ann Begat of Lincoln, Maxine Robinson of Fremont, and two grandchildren.
A gathering will be held Wednesday July 23 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Private family burial at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Arlington. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
