Kim Marshall Hansen, born 8/14/1951 joined his heavenly family on 7/09/2023, surrounded by love. Kim was raised in Griswold, Iowa by Joyce and Bernie Hansen. He worked in the trucking industry in one capacity or another his entire life, from owning and operating a large trucking company, to working on the auction side of the business.  He very much enjoyed taking to the open road in the fanciest Kenworth or Peterbilt he could find.

He raised three beautiful daughters with his wife Denise, they later divorced and nearly 3 years later he married Shelley, whom he always said is his best friend, soul mate, and travel partner. Shelley and Kim traveled to many parts of the world, England, France, Hawaii, Tahiti, and Islands in the Caribbean. They also crossed the Atlantic from South Hampton, England to New York on the QEII.

Kim loved and adored his 3 daughters, Kristi, Melissa, and Mindy and took them on exciting trips to England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Mexico, Peru, Columbia, Argentina, as well as a cruise down the Amazon River. Kim also solo traveled to Machu Picchu, Peru, and Bolivia.

Kim's grandchildren were the light of his life. He was always a very proud grandpa. He also made sure the kids had a zest for traveling, taking them on a cruise, NYC, Washington D.C, Germany, Switzerland where they went to the base of Matterhorn mountain, and Austria.

Kim leaves behind a family he loves and adores for eternity…Wife, Shelley Hansen;  3 Daughters, Kristi (Denise) Hansen , Melissa (Jay) Poessnecker, Mindy (Marcus)  Kelberlau; 6 grandchildren, Malorie, Dawson (fiancé, Alyssa Yunker), Jarrett Poessnecker and Dalton, Dane, and Alexa Kelberlau; Brother, Chris (Jacque)  Hansen; sister; Joy (Danny) Weaver. Kim also had a  special bond with nephew, Josh (Michelle) Hansen . His furry best friend was a Mini Australian Shepherd named Beans, who was always by his side.
