Linda died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Merrick Manor. She was born on July 18, 1949 in Lincoln. She was raised there and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. In 1971, Linda graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with an education degree in English, minoring in history. Linda L. Johnson married J. Michael Adams on April 3, 1971 in Lincoln.
She taught at Technical High School and Northwest High School in Omaha prior to moving to Fremont in 1978. She worked at Borsheims and Fremont Medical Associates.
She had been president of Chapter GH P.E.O. and the Fremont Soccer Club. She was an officer in the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. She served on the board of the Fremont Area Medical Center Foundation. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
Linda is survived by her husband Michael, son J. David Adams of Lincoln, daughter Elizabeth Bickford (husband William) of Lincoln, her sister Anita Smith (husband Curtis) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and her brother Jim Johnson (wife Marcia Hinds) of Burbank, California.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 11:00 AM at the Dugan Funeral Chapel. The service will be officiated by Edith and Harold Bickford. Memorials have been established for the Fremont Area Medical Center Foundation and the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. For those unable to attend the memorial service, a gathering with the family is also being held at the Dugan Funeral Chapel from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 23.
