Lois E. Blome, 95, of Scribner passed away Saturday, August 9th at her home.

She was born January 15, 1919 in Bridgeport, Nebraska and was raised there and graduated from Bridgeport High School. She was a stenographer for the Farm Security Administration, the United States Naval Department, and the Sioux Army Depot. She has been retired since 1967. In 1970 she moved to Alliance, Nebraska where she lived until moving to Scribner in 1999.

Lois was a 50 year member of Eastern Star, the United Church of Christ Womens Association and the Womens Club. She enjoyed bridge, sewing, and quilting.

Lois Anderson married Carl H.E. Blome February 15, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He died in 1979.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Vacha (husband Roger) of Scribner and Elaine Harding (husband Bruce) of Plymouth, Minnesota, one son, Russel Blome of Anchorage, Alaska, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, son Lowell, and 2 brothers and sisters.

Services will be Wednesday, August 13, at 10:00 A.M. at the United Church of Christ in Scribner. Visitation will be at the Church Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and the family will be present 6:00 to 8:00. There has been a memorial established to the Multiple Sclerosis Association and the United Church of Christ in Scribner.

Burial will be in Bridgeport, Nebraska.
