Lucille V. Precht, age 96, passed away May 4, 2011, at Nye Pointe in Fremont.

Lucille was born in Arlington, Nebraska, and attended Fremont Senior High School until she moved to Colorado at the age of 18 for work. She married Herbert Precht on September 30, 1933, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They moved to Exeter, Nebraska, several years later. It was during this time that Herbert was employed at the ordinance plants in both Fairmont and Mead, Nebraska. They moved to Fremont in 1945 and remained there until the present time.
Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont since 1928. She was a kitchen chairman and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Open Circle Class and a member of the Rebecca's Circle.
Lucille particularly enjoyed playing an active role in Camp Moses Merrill in Linwood, Nebraska. She acted as a 'camp grandparent', taught craft classes, and volunteered when possible. She and Herbert were involved for over 30 years in founding and establishing Camp Moses Merrill as an American Baptist Camp.
Herbert and Lucille traveled to craft fairs, selling ceramic giftware that she had made. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing, but she particularly loved being active and involved with her granddaughter and great-granddaughter
