Madylin A. Bolte died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Nye Square in Fremont, NE.She was born May 6, 1926 in Wausa, Nebraska and graduated from Wausa High School in 1944. She owned a meat market in Coleridge, Nebraska prior to moving to Fremontin 1958. She worked for Safeway Grocery from 1967 until her retirement in 1977.Madylin Nixon married Adolph Bolte September 12, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died in 1985.Madylin ws a member of the First United Methodist Church, FOE Lodge #200 Auxillary, the Tumbleweeds Country Dance Group and the Fremont Lions Club.Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Ronda Bendig (husband Paul) of Duluth, GA, a son, Craig Skalberg of Fremont, NE, six grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Betty Rouse of Burwell, NE., Phyllis Reynolds (husband Dean)of Westminster, CO. sister-in-law Harriet Nixon of Portland, OR., and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Maude Nixon,brothers; Gerald, Carrol, Howard and Richard Nixon, a sister; Ethel Jensen and her husband, Adolph Bolte.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. Rev. Gregg Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Friday with family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at Dugan Funeral Chapel.
