Fremont

Died at the Fremont Area Medical Center Wednesday June 5. She was born in Schenectady, New York August 8, 1936 and was raised there graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School. Marilyn DeGiglio married Nathaniel Walker Jr. in 1956 in Schenectady. She worked for Travelers Insurance Company in Albany, New York then lived in Clifton Park, Stillwater, and Malta, New York prior to moving to Fremont in 2012 to be with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters.

Marilyn married Tom Hepner in Mexico in 1968, he died in 2000.

Marilyn was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Clifton Park where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and shopping.

She is survived by her daughter Catherine Lathrop (husband Mike) of Arlington; a son, John Walker of Clifton Park, New York; two granddaughters Samantha Lathrop and Grace Lathrop; her extended family, Heather Walker and Aprille Walker both of Scotia, New York. She was preceded by her husband and one sister.

Funeral Services will be Monday, June 10 at 10:30 A.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jason Duley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.

Interment will be in the Saratoga Battlefield Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York.
