Marjorie Ellen Bolton, age 85, passed away on Thursday August 14, 2014 in Fremont.
Marge was born July 14, 1929 in Polk County, Nebraska to Archie and Grace Doremus, and grew up on a farm near rural Benedict, Nebraska. She graduated from Benedict High School in 1946. Marge married Leigh Bolton also of rural Benedict on August 10, 1947. They moved to Fremont in 1956 where they established their permanent home. Leigh preceded her in death in December 2011.
Marge was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In the late 1960's and 1970's she worked at Schwesers in the ladies ready to wear department. She was passionate about her hobby, silk flower arranging, which she did quite successfully for many years. She also enjoyed the many trips she and Leigh took over their many years together.
Marge had four sister Lois Cross, Laura Ulmer, Dorothy Hatfield, and Nola who died at a young age, and one brother Don Doremus.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leigh, her parents, three sisters, and her brother.
She is survived by her son, Gary Bolton and wife Denise of Fremont. Granddaughter Lindsey Mannel and husband, Chris, of Elkhorn. Sister Dorothy Hatfield of San Jose, California and three great-grandchildren, Evan, Emerson, and Mackenzie.

Visitation will be Sunday August 17, 2014 at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 5:00- 7:00P.M. Funeral Services will be Monday August 18, 2014 at First United Methodist Church at 10:00A.M. with pastor Greg Hall officiating. Burial following at Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Fremont Public Schools Foundation or First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday August 17, 2014 at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 5:00-7:00P.M. Funeral Services will be Monday August 18, 2014 at First United Methodist Church at 10:00A.M. with pastor Greg Hall officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery.
