Marjorie E. Manzel, age 88, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Nye Pointe.


Marge was born October 17, 1926 to Harold and Lillian McCord in Colon.She attended school at Mead, graduating in 1944. After high school she attended Commercial Extension school of Business. In 1945, she moved to Fremont and began working for First State Bank as a bookkeeper. She married Jack Manzel on August 11, 1949, he preceded her in death in 1987. She worked for the bank for 40 years until retiring in 1987.


Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school, the church circle, Extension club, card club and volunteering at the Low Income Ministry.


She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, parents and brother.


She is survived by her son Terry (Gail) Manzel of Bellevue, daughter Kathy (Dennis) Chapman of Fremont, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, friends and family.

Visitation will be Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4-8P.M. with family present from 6-8P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel.


Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Salem Lutheran Church at 10A.M. with pastor Clay Skurdahl officiating.


Burial will take place at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo.
