Mark Andrew Svoboda, age 52, died Monday, September 24th, 2012 in Laramie, WY.
Mark was born December 9, 1959 in Fremont to George and Melrae Svoboda. He graduated from Archbishop Bergan Catholic High School in 1978 and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Kearney State College in 1983. After college, he was a reporter and editor for various newspapers. Later in his career, he worked for Heath Consultants, Inc. in sales and operations. Mark enjoyed living near the mountains and cheering for the Huskers.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Deb Svoboda, of Kansas City, Missouri. And by his sister and brother-in-law, Janene and Mike Brandenburg, of Vienna, Virginia. He is also survived by two nephews, Christopher and Benjamin Svoboda and a niece, Eva Brandenburg. Preceding Mark in death were his parents.
Graveside services will be held at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont on Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 am. A memorial has been established at the Fremont Area Community Foundation. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com
