Marnie Lynn (Best) Reeder, 47, of Fremont a true worshiper of God and lover of people, passed into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Tijuana, Mexico. She was born on April 29, 1967, in Denison, Texas, to Lou and Nancy Best. She grew up in Fremont, Nebraska and was a 1985 graduate from Fremont High School and 1989 graduate of University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Marnie earned a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1999. She began her professional career with Trinity Christian School in Omaha, teaching there from 1991 to 1996. After finishing her Master's degree, she resumed teaching, first at Bellevue University, followed by Iowa Western Community College, Metro Community College and taught for Omaha Public Schools from 2002 to 2010.

In April of 2008, she married Brad Reeder in Gretna, Nebraska. From 2010 to the present Marnie and her husband were teaching English in Beijing, China. Marnie and her husband Brad adopted their son Micah from China on May 21, 2013.

Marnie was an active member of Trinity Church in Omaha for several years. She enjoyed serving her Lord by serving others.

Marnie is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Jones) Best, her Maternal grandparents Melvin and Irma Jones, and her paternal grandfather Floyd Best.

She is survived by her husband Brad, son Micah, father Lou Best, grandmother Frances Best.

Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2014 at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 4:00-8:00P.M. with family present from 5:00-8:00P.M.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Christ Community Church in Omaha at 10:00A.M.
Memorials can be directed to the Hope Center for Kids, or the Open Door Mission.


Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2014 at Dugan Funeral Chapel from 4:00-8:00P.M. with family present from 5-8.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Christ Community Church in Omaha located at 404 South 108th Ave. Omaha, NE 68154 at 10:00A.M.
